About FollowCheck

A smaller, safer way to answer one awkward question.

FollowCheck compares the Followers and following lists in an official Instagram export. It does not ask for an Instagram password, connect to a live account, or upload the export to FollowCheck.

Why the export method?

Follower utilities often create a difficult trust decision: give another service account access, or remain uncertain about what it collects. FollowCheck uses files that Instagram provides directly to the account owner and performs the comparison in the browser.

What the result means

The result is a list of accounts present in your following list but absent from the followers files in that export. It is more accurate to call these “accounts not following back” than “unfollowers.” Without an older comparison, the export does not reveal exactly when or why the relationship changed.

What one audit includes

A $2.99 one-time purchase unlocks the browser-based comparison, username search, manual categorization for celebrities or brands, and a CSV download. There is no FollowCheck account or subscription.
