Your Instagram file stays in your browser.
FollowCheck was designed so the sensitive part of the audit—the exported follower lists and the resulting usernames—does not need to be sent to us.

Your Instagram ZIP/JSON files and audit results are processed locally by JavaScript in your browser. FollowCheck does not upload, store, or receive those files or usernames.
Instagram exports and results
When you select an Instagram ZIP or JSON file, the browser reads the required follower and following data on your device. The result is displayed in that tab. Closing or refreshing the page clears the result. Manually marked celebrity or brand categories exist only for the current audit.
Payments
Payments are handled through Stripe Checkout. Stripe receives the payment and transaction information needed to process the purchase. FollowCheck’s payment service receives a Stripe session identifier and verifies that the $2.99 audit was paid. Instagram exports and audit usernames are not attached to checkout.
Security and access controls
The payment API runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process ordinary network and security information, such as IP address, request metadata, and operational logs. A payment entitlement record is used to prevent an audit purchase from being redeemed more than once.
Browser storage
FollowCheck uses session storage to remember a successful checkout within the browser session. It does not use browser storage to retain uploaded Instagram files or audit usernames.
Analytics and advertising
FollowCheck uses first-party, aggregate funnel measurement to understand which pages and campaigns lead to checkout and completed audits. Events contain an event name, page path, and sanitized campaign labels from links you followed. They do not contain Instagram usernames, filenames, follower counts, file contents, advertising identifiers, or a cross-site user profile. Campaign labels are retained only for the current browser tab session. FollowCheck does not load third-party advertising trackers.

Links to Instagram Accounts Center and Stripe open services governed by their own privacy policies. FollowCheck is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
